HOW WE WORK

And how does EFALL deliver all of this to the classroom?

The courses are developed around the target audience’s interests, prioritizing for the classes, dynamic and challenging activities (games, competitions, theatre, music, dance, art projects, etc.) with the intention of providing pleasure and a taste for knowledge. The classes’ calendar follows suit to the Public Schools’ on a weekly basis for 1 hour, either in the morning or in the afternoon, from Monday through Saturday.

Courses being offered:

1. EDUCATIONAL - ENGLISH (EDU):

4 one-term modules, with 18 hours of class for 11 to 13 year old students.

2. PROFESSIONAL - ENGLISH (PROF):

4 one-term modules, with 18 hours of class for 14 to 17 year old students.

Overall total per course: 72 hours

The teachers: Volunteachers

Grupo de Volunteachers
Group of Volunteachers

They are volunteers from the civil society who have a fair command of English (intermediate or advanced level) and are interested in the education of adolescents.

This volunteer, after being trained in a 10-hour course, commits him/herself to the donation of 20 hours per semester, which includes classes and evaluation meetings.

The organization defines, together with the partner entity, the venue and the schedule of classes that will meet the requirements of the teacher in particular. The material is wholly prepared, assembled and offered by EFALL.

Curiosity: It is interesting to notice that, among our current volunteers, there are engineers, lawyers, bank clerks, housewives, marketing and business people, entrepreneurs, English teachers (retired or active), trainees and translators.
